The chenzhou to ningyuan expressway is the 16th of the 18th section of the national expressway network 7918 plan, the second section of the three construction projects of the xiamen to chengdu expressway in hunan province, and also the section of the "five vertical and seven horizontal" expressway network planned by hunan province. The completion of the project will connect the vertical beijing-zhuhai national highway main line (G030) and the erguang national highway to form a crisscrossed transport network, effectively improving the transport links in southern hunan province, and form the east-west artery leading to xiamen and Taiwan in central and eastern provinces of hunan province.
